Digitalization and globalization of business represents enormous changes but also opportunities for HR today. The advent of new technologies is disrupting recruitment practices and nuancing the candidate experience. New methods of recruiting and sourcing (e.g. social media, mobile apps, artificial intelligence, etc.) require an upskilling of competencies to be able to meet these challenges. As researcher, I am interested in understanding what this means for both employers and employees, job candidates, and the HR profession as a whole.
